Class 2c explored the inspiring lives of important figures from history – from artists and activists to scientists and politicians. Each pupil selected a book from the Little People, BIG DREAMS series, in which the stories are told in a child-friendly and engaging way. Every book begins with the main character as a young child and includes facts and photographs at the end. The project encouraged pupils to develop empathy and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. After reading their books, the pupils expanded their vocabulary and reflected on their own strengths and dreams. They also wrote acrostic poems about their chosen character and created summaries of the stories. To present their work creatively, each pupil chose a different format. Some created simple shows or Canva presentations, while others recorded audio clips or produced drawings of their character. The project was a great success. The pupils showed creativity, enthusiasm, and confidence, and they were very proud of their work. (DV) |
