. The main aim of The Big Challenge is to encourage the learning of English through fun and educational activities, and to support the teaching of English in schools.
The Big Challenge Contest is a Europe-wide English language contest for primary and secondary school students, enabling them to make progress in the language while having fun at the same time.
The Contest takes place in spring, typically in May, across many European countries.
A great motivational tool, the contest is taken by over 500 000 students every year in Europe.
97 pupils from our school participated in The Big Challenge and did great. Our best students are Lukas Kucybala, Leana Toifl-Tusch, Moritz Faßlabend (Level I), Kemal Güclü, Joseph Görlich, Hana Vrenezi (Level II) and Marie Paulus, Philip Cota-Toth, Lewin Edenhofer (Level III). Particularly noteworthy is that Kemal Güclü achieved the 9th place countrywide (Lower Austria) out of a total of 630 participants.
All students got a certificate, a pencil, a poster and other prizes (e.g. English books, flags, dairies, USB-Sticks…).
Congratulations to all our students. You did great.
